At Fortune Events, we respect your privacy. Whether you’re a subscriber, event guest or paying client, we only collect your contact information for the purposes of:
- Giving you free event invitations and informational updates because you’ve either a subscribed to our mailing list at our website or you’ve attended one of our live events in the past
- Contacting you regarding important updates for events you’ve already registered for
- Thanking you for attending an event and summarising any special offers that may have been made at the event you attended, or acknowledging you if you didn’t make it to an event you registered for
- Measuring the effectiveness of various marketing material
- Contacting you regarding your experience with Fortune Events and requesting feedback from time to time
At any stage, should you wish to be removed from our emailing list, simply let us know at email@example.com or can “unsubscribe” in the email campaigns we send you.
Your piece of mind and the security of your personal information are important to us. So, here are steps we take to ensure these details are in safe hands at all times:
- If you make Online Payments at our website, your card information is only used during the transaction. Once your transaction is completed, we do not store your card information
- We never provide your email address or personal information to third parties for any purpose
- If you request to be removed from our mailing list, we act on your request as soon as is reasonably possible and from that point on, we will no longer send email campaigns to you
- If you’ve provided credit card information on a registration form, once you’re payment is complete, we destroy that information.
Booking Terms & Conditions for participants of all Events & Courses held by Fortune Events Pty. Ltd.
These booking terms and conditions set out your agreement with Fortune Events and apply to the Events and Courses you have specified and for which you register, to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions issued or stipulated by any other party other than Fortune Events.
In these terms and conditions, all references to "us", "our" and "we" means Fortune Events and all Events and Courses will be known as "the Event/Course" and all references to the "website" mean: www.fortuneevents.com
We've tried to keep the fine print as light as possible, however the information below is important, so please read on.
You are fully aware that the Events/Courses constitutes "information only" and does not constitute advice or specific recommendations of any kind. These terms & conditions may change from time to time and you may always find the most current version on our website. Definitions:
"Event" means a live seminar that runs over 2 – 3 hours that is promoted and facilitated by Fortune Events.
"Course" means a live program that takes place over 2 or more days for which guests pay registration fees to attend to Fortune Events, and that is facilitated by Fortune Events.
1. Rescheduling your Registration for a Course
If are unable to attend the course on the dates for which you have registered, you may transfer your registration to a later Course date, provided you advise us at least thirty (45) days prior to the original course date for which you have registered, and that your rescheduled date occurs not more than 12 months after the date of your original registration. There is no charge for such a transfer, however you agree that we may not facilitate the same or a similar course again and that there is no obligation on us to do so. Only in the case where there is no suitable course available for you to transfer into, may you claim a refund for your monies paid, and this amount will be less the value of any bonus products you received as part of your registration offer and a $250 administration fee. If you do not reschedule as per the conditions stipulated above, you will forfeit the money you paid to attend and you will have no other claim against us for a refund or compensation.
2. Transferring your Registration to another Attendee
If you cannot attend the Course for which you have registered, your ticket is transferable to another person, provided that you supply us with the full contact details of your substitute person at least thirty (30) days before the Course and provided that this person notifies us via email their acceptance of your transfer. Once the transfer has taken place, the transferee will be bound by the same terms & conditions as you – the original Course ticket holder.
3. Deposit & Payments for Course Registrations
We will not deem you to have registered for a course until such time as we receive a payment from you equal to or greater than the minimum deposit required for the course you are registering for. In the case of Self Care Xpress, the deposit amount is AU $990.
If you elect the Easy Payment plan, we will process payment to your nominated credit card on the dates specified on your registration form.
If we are unable to process your payment on each nominated date, we will contact you by phone and/or email to advise you of the payment decline. You will be required to nominate another suitable date for processing of the agreed payment. If on that date, the attempt to process your payment is again unsuccessful, a late payment charge of AU $30 will be incurred and added to the outstanding payment.
Any Payments that remain outstanding for longer than 30 days will incur an additional 10% charge on the outstanding amount at that time.
4. Course Changes
We may for any reason deem it necessary to change Course dates, venue or program hours up to 60 days prior to the original schedule, and if such changes are required, we will notify you in writing about those changes. In such circumstances, you retain the right to reschedule your registration in accordance with our rescheduling policy.
5. Course Cancellation
If for any reason we deem it necessary to do so, we may cancel any Course by notifying you in writing, in which case, we will refund the total amount you have paid for your enrolment less the value of any bonus products you received in your registration offer. This is your sole right and remedy against us and you will have no other claim against us for a refund or for compensation.
6. Course Registration Cancellation
If you choose to cancel your enrolment for a Course for any reason, other than within any applicable cooling-off period, or in accordance with any state or federal law, you will receive a credit for the total amount you have paid less the value of any bonus products received with your registration. Credits may not be claimed as refunds; but may be applied towards your registration in any other Course offered by us within 12 months of your registration date.
7. Money-Back Guarantee
If the Course you are attending has been offered with money-back guarantee, you may only request a refund of your monies paid (less the value of any bonus products provided with your registration) by no later than the conclusion of the first day of the Course. After this time, the money back guarantee no longer applies and you will not be entitled to any refund.
8. Cooling-off Period
Within 7 days of payment of your registration deposit, you may at any time, notify us via email to: firstname.lastname@example.org that you wish to cancel your registration. If you do so, we will refund to you the total amount you have paid to us for that course registration less the value of any products received by you or shipped to you with respect to that registration i.e. products are non-refundable and non-returnable.

Should a refund be due to you, we will process it within 10 working days from the date that Fortune Events acknowledges that refund is due to you.
10. Intellectual Property
By providing you with products, materials and the information in the presentation of the Event or Course, no transfer of title to you is made with respect to any of the applicable Intellectual Property rights for those items. As such, you may not:
(a) Copy or reproduce any of the content of the products, materials, Event or Course or record them by audio, visual or audio-visual means, in any format, or
(b) on-sell the products, materials or intellectual property or make them available for public viewing or hire, to or by any third party.
You authorize us to use any digital, film or other recording of your participation in the Course for any purpose, at our discretion, including without limitation, in connection with the marketing and promotion of Event services and concede that we shall have sole right to the intellectual property therein.
11. Limitation of Liability
Fortune Events does not accept liability for any accident, injury or loss suffered while attending any Event or Course except in respect of death or personal injury resulting from any act or omission on the part of the supplier.
We: (a) exclude all terms, conditions and warranties implied by custom, the general law or statute or which may cause any part of these Terms or Conditions to be void or voidable; (b) limit our liability to you on any account whatsoever to the total amount actually paid by you to us to receive the Event or Course; (c) limit our liability to you for any claim (whether arising in contract, tort or statute, for loss or damage suffered by you, connected with or relating to the performance of the Event or Course your attendance at the Event or Course, to the total amount actually paid by you to us, to receive the Event or Course; and (d) exclude all liability for consequential damage (including but not limited to, lost revenue or lost profit) suffered by you in any way connected to the Event or Course or your exercise of rights under these Terms and Conditions.
12. Personal Well-being
At all times you are responsible for your own mental, emotional and physical well-being. You warrant that you are able to judge what Courses or activities are suitable for you. You acknowledge that we are not aware of any conditions you may have or any circumstances you are faced with, and you hold us to be without any blame for any mental, physical, emotional or financial loss, damage or harm that arises from your attendance to any of our Events or Courses.
We reserve the right to pay commissions to any third parties that may be associated in your entering into this agreement with us.
The laws of Australia govern this agreement and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian Courts.
